Error 11gr2 runInstaller solairs 11 motif21/libmawt.so: ld.so.1: java: fatal: libXm.so

I was trying to Install oracle database 11.2.0.3 on one of newly configured Oracle Solaris 11 X86-64 bit BOX. I have encountered below error message while executing runInstaller:

jdk/jre/ lib/amd64/motif21/libmawt.so: ld.so.1: java: fatal: libXm.so open failed no such file or directory


Cause:

Installer is expecting library file  "libmawt.so" which eventually doesn't exists. So there is  a missing package on OS

Solution:

Install missing package "pkg://solaris/library/motif"

1 - Search for missing package in repository


2 -  Install missing package


3 - Now runInstaller , it should work normally without any errors:


 Note:

For Installing this package you should have You IPS properly configured.

with motif installed[1] still have same error[2].

One of the guys did this and everything worked ok. Documented in Oracle documentation somewhere.

export AWT_TOOLKIT=XToolkit

No need to install motif.

The below article is step by step procedure to Install oracle E-Business suite R12.1.1 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.6 (32-bit) using vmware server 2 on windows 7 64 bit. Oracle Solaris 11 installation has multiple options to choose for installation of an Operating Environment, but mostly Oracle Solaris text install media is used and this installation media doesn't offer the GUI Desktop Environment by default after the installation.
